hmmmmm.. pregnancy

What have we done?!?! My goodness.. I can not believe such a blessing can be such a trial! Let me make sure that everyone is on the same page! I am pregnant. I am due April 3rd and I am now 36 1/2 weeks along! I went my 34 week appointment 2 weeks ago and they told me I have some protein in my urine. At that time they told me it was +1 (or 100). Tuesday when I went in for my 36 week appointment the doctor broke the news that I am getting worse and that I am no longer allowed to work.. and wrote an order for me to be on "strict bed rest".

Now if you know me at all you know that on any other occasion I would have jumped with joy and the opportunity to lay in bed because a doctor ORDERED me to! Sounds like a dream, right!! But no, its not a dream, its a friggin' nightmare! I think it might only be fun when you are not supposed to do it!!! Just a theory I have..

Anyway, Wednesday, March 9 I started my bed rest and all day long I thought I may never be able to make it even one day! After work, Adele came over with my Grandmas blood pressure cuff and after three attempts my blood pressure was really horrible and would not get better. Will and I called the doctor and she decided that it would be best if I came to L&D to get some tests done and make sure that Bailey and I were OK.. We packed a quick bag and came on over. They decided they would keep me for the night and this morning when the doctor came to see me she decided that I was lucky enough to be able to stay for "a few days"..

As of this afternoon my blood work has come back OK but my protein has tripled since Tuesday and my blood pressure is staying borderline.. not good or horrible.. It is like being stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

I guess one good thing is that I will definitely update my blog!!!
